Claudia Silva

Born in Bogotá-Colombia, Claudia studied Cinema and Photography in her hometown. She worked in cultural and learning exchange projects with Indigenous Elders from the Colombian Amazon, and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from the Colombian Caribbean from an audiovisual perspective. Later on, she moved to Spain where she studied Drama and got involved in alternative education projects. Meanwhile, she developed the audiovisual project «Natural Wisdom» and for more than 15 years, in both cultural and academic contexts, she released photographic exhibitions and talks about the experience with the indigenous Elders. Since 2013, Claudia have been developing the audiovisual project «Kolam, An Ephemeral Women´s Art of South India», a project that combines women´s traditions, ephemeral art, science, ethnomathematics and spiritual practices while finishing her degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology.
